Our God Comes

As the title suggests, Our God Comes And Will Not Be Silent rests on the premise that, like the unstoppable ocean tide, God comes to us in a variety of ways and His voice will not be silent as He reveals Himself throughout all creation. This book of poetry by the U.S. editor-in-chief and national literary secretary, Lt. Colonel Marlene Chase, invites the reader to contemplate life and its experiences, and God’s goodness to us.

Colonel Chase leads us through the book in three sections to consider how God comes to us in creation: through its intricate beauty and vastness; through community — where we experience a sense of belonging and where we give and receive care from those around us; and, so important, in the transforming love of the Incarnation and in the fellowship of His Spirit. Diane Tolcher's excellent photographic illustrations enhance the book's appeal to those searching for a way to express spiritual needs and experiences.

Marlene Chase is an accomplished writer and poet, who has presented in this her sixth book an offering that lends itself to devotional meditation, small group discussion, and the literary enjoyment of carefully crafted poetry. This book could prove to be a useful and powerful tool for private devotions and will stimulate thoughtful and prayerful response to the leading of the Holy Spirit in one's relationship with God. Marlene Chase provides the words we are so often unable to find for ourselves when expressing an emotion or an actual experience that has touched our hearts and transported us to the footstool of God.

One of the lovely things about this book is that it is small — almost pocket-sized — so it can be easily transported in a handbag or briefcase for reading at the office or on the way to work.
