This edition of Words of Life
introduces questions. In Mark’s Gospel we find people bombarding Jesus with questions – and he asks a few of them and us as well. We listen in on Paul’s instruction to the Corinthians in his head-on response to some of their stated and implied questions. Guest writer Major Max Sturge asks, ‘How can a bunch of motley slaves be a blessing to the world?’ then guides us on an Exodus journey from slavery to freedom. We reflect on some of the questions suffering raises. As we join Jacob on his quest and then, during Advent, consider key players on the scene at Christ’s first coming, some of their questions may be ours.
